Arnhem Land: Authentic Australian Aboriginal Songs And Dances

"Made for anthropological documentation rather than commercial release the recordings are field recordings offering music with the natural ambience of the bush and camp-site. Released by EMI Records in Australia in 1957 these recordings were the first commercially available recordings of Aboriginal music. These unique recordings were made in Arnhem Land by the noted Australian anthropologist, Professor A. P. Elkin. The recordings are authentic in every detail and many of them had been previously heard only by a few anthropologist who could evolve a fellow interest with the Aborigines. Here then for the first time is the fascinating music and rhythm of the native Australians of Arnhem Land as sung and danced in their own wild country"
Sorry about uploading the liner notes seperately.
